Apollo Crews just can’t catch a break.

On the April 27th episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, Apollo appeared destined to have a breakout evening. he successfully pinned the United States Champion, Andrade, in a six-man tag team match to start the evening and then would get a championship match on the same night following a vicious slap to the face of the incumbent-US Champion.

Everything looked to be going Apollo’s way during the match, but towards the end of the bout, everything fell apart. Crews rocked Andrade with a kick and slammed him. Andrade countered a splash and Crews landed on his injured knee. The referee ruled that Crews was unable to continue and awarded the match to Andrade. Later in the evening, Apollo would be seen on crutches and become emotional when asked about his condition by Charly Caruso.

Now, WWE has confirmed that Apollo Crews will no longer be competing in the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match on May 10th.

As of right now, there is only one qualifying match left and that will take place on the May 1st edition of SmackDown between Dolph Ziggler and Otis. With a little over a week to go before the pay-per-view event itself, WWE still has time to add an additional competitor from Monday Night Raw.

WrestleZone will monitor the situation and report any and all updates.
