Reports concerning Ricochet’s probable exit from WWE were followed by MVP’s revelation about his initial plans for the WWE star. According to MVP, he had intended for Ricochet, formerly known as Prince Puma, to be part of his team, The Hurt Business, when he formed the group initially.
MVP revealed that his initial strategy was to bring both Ricochet and Cedric Alexander into the fold of The Hurt Business. Sharing his thoughts via a tweet, MVP said,
“True story. When we were forming The Hurt Business, I asked for BOTH Ricochet AND Cedric Alexander. We were told we could only have 1. We chose Cedric because we felt he needed our association more than Ricochet did. I always thought Ricky O would be a big star on his own.”
During the days of The Hurt Business, Bobby Lashley managed to secure the WWE Championship. Additionally, WWE stars Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander laid their hands on the WWE RAW Tag Team Titles.
In recent developments, Ricochet seems to have bid farewell to WWE as his last appearance on RAW ended with an attack by Bron Breakker, which resulted in Ricochet being violently thrown against a car and led out of the arena on a stretcher.
Sources close to eWn have revealed that Ricochet has communicated his decision to not renew his WWE contract to the management, indicating his plans for imminent departure from the company.
