Joe Hendry has been rapidly growing in popularity ever since his premiere on WWE NXT TV, which was part of a cross-promotion with TNA Wrestling.
Though he was the first participant to be taken out during his debut in the battle royal on NXT, Hendry managed to garner a strong positive reaction from the crowd as his entrance theme was played.
Hendry has also stirred up significant interactions on various social media platforms, leading to WWE giving him considerable screen time on recent NXT TV broadcasts.
Recently, Hendry guest-starred on the podcast “Talk Is Jericho” hosted by Chris Jericho, where he mentioned, “We’ve got a while”, referring to his ongoing contract with TNA.
As per reports from Pwinsider, there are speculations that Hendry’s TNA contract is set to expire next year. There’s also a possibility that WWE might choose to buy out Hendry’s TNA contract if they wish to bring him on board before he turns free agent.
Earlier this week, Hendry secured a victory over Joe Coffey during the second night of NXT’s event titled ‘The Great American Bash 2024’.
