Indi Hartwell recently shared an intriguing vlog featuring a glimpse behind the scenes at HOG ‘City of Dreamz’ where she went head-to-head with Mercedes Mone. The video gave fans a rare insight into their conversation about the first time they encountered each other.
Hartwell remarks, in regards to their initial meeting: “I didn’t approach you for a snapshot. You came to me for one and the pictures were stored in your phone. At the gym, I spotted you and knew that the wrestlers would be present. I was observing you, I suppose. I caught sight of you and thought, ‘I need to approach her.’ So later, I mustered up the courage to come up to you and confessed, ‘I’m a massive fan.’”
Additionally, she talks about the emotional reaction she had during their meeting, “I started trembling and tearing up. I confessed, ‘You’re the motivation behind my wrestling journey.’ And you responded, ‘Oh my goodness, thank you.’ Again, it was you who suggested we take a picture together. We were mirror adjacent when I noticed you were getting closer and thought, ‘This is it!’ You wanted us to capture the moment and then shared it on Twitter. The rest, as they say, is history. Here we are, having wrestled each other, almost a decade later. It just goes to show, never give up on your dreams.”
