After being let go by WWE in April, past WWE Champion, Jinder Mahal, has piqued the interest of numerous independent wrestling organizations. An update from Fightful Select indicates that several high-profile independent wrestling companies such as GCW, Black Label Pro, and AIW are keen on scheduling Mahal for future appearances in their events.
In addition to the local scene, there seems to be substantial interest for Mahal from international and Canadian wrestling circles. The consistent presence of the Bollywood Boyz in the indie scene could have played a significant role in stirring up this kind of interest.
The stipulation that prevents Mahal from competing, which was part of his agreement with WWE, is forecasted to lapse in July.
