Former WWE star, Ronda Rousey, has recently shown gratitude for her partnership with Paul Heyman during her time at the wrestling franchise, pointing out his significant influence on her creative interests.
While Rousey’s tenure at WWE saw numerous accomplishments, her exit in August 2023 sparked some criticism about her overall experience. However, in her latest interview with “Sports Illustrated,” Rousey highlighted a positive aspect of her WWE career, emphasizing Paul Heyman’s motivation to explore ventures beyond wrestling.
Rousey shared, “He’s one of the few people who really encouraged me creatively. He showed me I’m so much more than just what my body can do. That’s how so many people see me–as an athlete, as a fighter. It’s all about performing, being on camera, focusing on what I can do physically–but it was different with Paul.”
Beyond her successful wrestling career, Rousey is also an author with her debut graphic novel, “Expect The Unexpected,” set to be released through a Kickstarter campaign on July 25, exemplifying her unwavering commitment to creative projects outside the wrestling ring.
