Bryan Danielson is persisting in his endeavor to “go out on top” in the Men’s Owen Hart Cup. He was victorious over Shingo Takagi in a match that ended in submission at the AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door III event.

For a quick overview of what has transpired in the brackets, Danielson’s ally from the Blackpool Combat Club, Claudio Castagnoli was defeated by PAC, who is marching confidently on a track to regain his traction. These two strong contenders are expected to lock horns at the AEW Dynamite “Beach Break” special, to be held next week. First place will be decided at the finals in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on July 10, 2024.

On the other side of the bracket which will eventually lead up to the main event showdown, it’s still anyone’s game. It will hinge on two matches that are yet to unfold. Jay White had emerged victorious over Rey Fenix in round one, however, White’s competitor in the semifinals remains unknown. Jeff Jarrett is set to take on a surprise player specially chosen by The Young Bucks. The clash between White and either Jarrett or the Wild Card is scheduled for the July 6th installment of AEW Collision.

Who do you foresee as the winners of these semifinal bouts? Are you gambling with your predictions on Danielson walking away with the tournament, or does the unknown Wild Card contender seem too enticing? Feel free to leave your thoughts, guesses, and speculations in the comments section!
