The professional wrestling tag team, The OC, had a stint in TNA Wrestling following their initial departure from WWE.
In the most recent episode of their “Talk’n Shop” podcast, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson unveiled that they were presented with two-year contracts in 2022. However, they ultimately decided not to stay and made a return to WWE instead.
A few highlights from their podcast session can be found below:
Anderson discussing their experience in TNA: “On July 15-16, 2020, we entered into a contract with TNA. The two-year deal came to a close on July 16, 2022 which marked our final television tapings. I want to clearly mention that at that time, TNA, and its management, proposed a new two-year contract to us.”
Gallows comments about the TNA proposal: “They put forth a new two-year contract, accompanied by significant salary increments. I understand this might irk some people… We were genuinely interested, but we also wanted the freedom to commit to the New Japan dates.”
Anderson’s remarks on declining the contract due to engagements with NJPW: “I’ve to pay respect where it’s due, they told us, ‘I can’t sign you for this and have you miss these shows.’ We, during that period, were very much missing Japan.”
