On a recent edition of the “AEW Unrestricted” podcast, Scotty, real name Scott Garland, was asked if more matches could be in his future. He said,

“I mean you know, it was talked about right. The idea is exciting to me, I just want it to be for the right reason, I want it to be for the right thing.”

“I want to elevate somebody, I want to elevate the show, create a moment, I don’t want it to just be a cold match if we do it. I don’t want to just go out there and have a match. It has to be the right thing. My first job here is to be a coach and producer, I don’t want to split my time doing both, I feel like it hurts my job as a producer.

“If there is the right thing, and it can make the show better or if I can help bring somebody up, I think that’s the way to use it and the way to do it. I don’t want to be going out there every week and be thinking about the match I’m going to have while producing a live segment on Dynamite. I feel like that would hurt my job as a producer.”

Garland added that he feels like he’s done everything he wants to do in the ring and added that he wants to become a great producer for AEW.

Former WWE Superstar Scotty 2 Hotty, whose real name is Scott Garland, has expressed his openness to wrestling for All Elite Wrestling (AEW) once again. However, he emphasized that he would only compete if there is a valid reason behind it.

Currently serving as a coach for AEW and involved in producing work, Garland made his in-ring debut for the promotion in an AEW Dynamite dark match last month. During a recent episode of the “AEW Unrestricted” podcast, he was asked about the possibility of more matches in his future.

Garland responded by saying, “I mean, you know, it was talked about, right. The idea is exciting to me, I just want it to be for the right reason, I want it to be for the right thing.” He expressed his desire to elevate someone and the show itself, creating a memorable moment rather than just having a random match. He also mentioned that his primary role is to be a coach and producer, and splitting his time between wrestling and those responsibilities could potentially hinder his job as a producer.

The former WWE Superstar stated that he feels like he has accomplished everything he wanted to in the ring and now wants to focus on becoming a great producer for AEW. He believes that if there is a suitable opportunity to make the show better or help bring someone up, that would be the ideal way to utilize his wrestling skills.

Garland’s dedication to his role as a producer highlights his commitment to contributing to AEW’s success behind the scenes. He wants to avoid any potential distractions that could affect his ability to produce high-quality content for the promotion.
