IMPACT Wrestling Fires Joey Ryan & Dave Crist, Suspends Michael Elgin After Allegations

IMPACT Wrestling previously said it was looking into allegations against several members of its roster and now three wrestlers are being reprimanded. Both Dave Crist and Joey Ryan are now fired from the promotion as a result. Meanwhile, Michael Elgin is suspended and is being looked into further.
“IMPACT Wrestling confirms that it has terminated its contracts with Dave Crist and Joey Ryan, effective immediately,” the promotion told WrestleZone. “In addition, it has suspended Michael Elgin pending further review of allegations of misconduct.”
Joey Ryan was originally advertised for a 6-man tag team match with Cancel Culture against Crazzy Steve and two mystery opponents on this week’s show. WrestleZone has confirmed with multiple sources that the match will no longer air on Tuesday’s broadcast on AXS TV.
The company previously stated that it wants to ensure that it provides “a safe and secure work environment for our employees and performers.”
