This will be the first Lockdown PPV since IMPACT was under the TNA banner in 2014. IMPACT did have three Lockdown events for television which took place in 2015 and 2016, but it’s been four years since we’ve seen the even go down on PPV.
Lockdown was a polarizing event among wrestling fans and personalities as every match took place inside a steel cage. Some talents and minds would argue that it takes away from the significance and allure of the gimmick in the first place, but there is an appeal that it does present for it’s fan base as well.
According to the IMPACT website, all matches will still take place inside of the cage:
“For newcomers to IMPACT Wrestling, Lockdown is an all-steel cage event. That’s right, each and every match will be contested inside the confines of a steel cage making for a night of danger, violence and even bloodshed. Viewer discretion is advised.”
Tickets will be available starting this Friday. Are you excited to see the return of Lock Down? Sound off in the comments below.
