Deonna Purrazzo will face Melina at NWA EmPowerrr.
After being reluctant to accept Mickie James’ original offer, Deonna Purrazzo agreed to up here at NWA EmPowerrr and she will be facing a former WWE Women’s Champion at the show. Tonight on IMPACT Wrestling, it was revealed that former WWE Women’s Champion Melina will be facing Deonna Purrazzo at the all-women event on the final weekend in August. Plans for this were first reported by Fightful Select.
Melina is a former WWE Women’s and Divas Champion and will look to add IMPACT Knockouts Champion to an already impressive resume on a card that will also see the NWA Women’s World Championship defended by Kamille against AEW’s Leyla Hirsch.
