The documentary “Immersed: Mike Santana Return of the Realist” by TNA Wrestling is now exclusively available on the TNA’s YouTube channel.
The recent episode of the immensely popular IMMERSED series spotlights Mike Santana. Viewers accompany Santana on his comeback journey to TNA Wrestling, culminating at the Rebellion pay-per-view on Saturday, April 20 at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
Premiering Monday, June 3, “Immersed: Mike Santana Return of the Realist” will be available on TNA’s YouTube channel. The documentary focuses on Santana’s much-anticipated return to TNA Wrestling and his Rebellion match against prior TNA World Champion, Steve Maclin.
Santana shares his struggles to revive himself both personally and professionally in this moving portrayal.
Mike Santana shed light on his challenging childhood, growing up in the roughest New York City neighborhoods:
“I was a teenager with a single mom; she used to face her fair share of abuse. The circumstances forced me out of the house as I couldn’t bear to watch her suffer. Gradually, I found a family on the street and slipped into bad company, doing things I am now not proud of.”
Santana also talked about his fight against addiction:
“One time, I was in rehab for 30 days. Looking out of the window, I had ample time to reflect. My daughter’s note to Santa, asking him to make her dad stop, was one of the most powerful triggers of my recovery.”
Santana reveals his journey of self-discovery and authenticity in professional wrestling:
“Despite people calling it a wrestling storyline or promo, I know who I am and where I’ve come from. Unlike others, there’s no role-playing involved; I am a proud and truthful Boricua player from New York City.”
