Nikki Garcia was recently seen in public for the first time since her spouse, Artem Chigvintsev, was taken into police custody on felony domestic violence charges this past Thursday. Notably, she was not wearing her wedding ring during this sighting.
The WWE Hall of Famer was sighted earlier today in Oakland, California, where she was caught boarding a private jet alongside a companion. Garcia is reportedly traveling to Las Vegas, where she is scheduled to co-host Netflix’s live hotdog eating contest, “Chestnut vs. Kobayashi: Unfinished Beef.”
Despite the challenging circumstances, Garcia seemed to be in high spirits, greeting onlookers with a smile and sporting a hat that was tilted downwards to cover her eyes.
Previous reports on eWn indicated that the domestic situation began when Chigvintsev dialed 911 for medical help, alleging he was struck by a pair of shoes thrown by Garcia. He later rescinded his call for help. Regardless, authorities arrived at the scene an hour later, resulting in Chigvintsev’s arrest. He was subsequently released later that day after posting a ,000 bail.
