Over the past couple of weeks, Big Bill has taken to sporting a phrase from Tony Schiavone on his wrestling shorts. The slogan, which reads “Too much man,” is displayed prominently on the back. Schiavone, in a recent episode of his “What Happened When?” podcast, voiced his thoughts on the subject. He commented,
“Isn’t that incredible? It’s fascinating to think that after an 18-year hiatus from wrestling, the first person I bumped into was none other than Big Bill. And now, nearly eight years after that encounter, my words are featured on his wrestling shorts. This is not just a little bit ironic—it’s intensely ironic.”
Schiavone then proceeded, “Big Bill, secondly, sets the bar high in terms of being a remarkable human being in the world of wrestling. His personal story, of overcoming alcohol addiction, is also one of the most inspiring in wrestling history. I genuinely couldn’t be prouder to have my quote on his shorts. On top of being an overall great person, his talent in the ring is truly remarkable. Having my words on Big Bill’s wrestling gear is an honor I greatly cherish.”
