In the latest episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Matt Cardona, previously a WWE Superstar, verbalized his determination to reach new heights in the world of professional wrestling.
Here are some key takeaways from the podcast:
When asked if he would be content if his wrestling career ended tomorrow, Cardona said, “Would I be happy about it? Yes. In the sense that I appreciate my journey and I’m proud of what I’ve achieved so far. But my hunger for more is still very much alive. I think anyone in this field can understand that sentiment. The more success you taste, the more you crave it. I’m tremendously appreciative for everything I’ve managed to do. From retiring you [Tommy Dreamer] in the Meadowlands to being put through a flaming table in the ECW arena by Bully, I cherish all these experiences.”
Addressing his desire to accomplish even more, Cardona added, “I’m still very much driven to achieve greater things. There are several other goals I aspire to reach. If it all ended tomorrow, I’d feel content. But truthfully, I’m not entirely fulfilled. So, it’s a bit of yes and no. It essentially depends on various factors. I’ve just entered the 39th year of my life, which isn’t considered old in the wrestling world anymore. I feel like I’m at the peak of my game in the ring, and my physical wellbeing is as strong as it’s ever been. Hence, I’m highly enthusiastic about the potential of what the future may hold.”
