Idea Pitched For Drew McIntyre To Drop The WWE Championship Soon

Reports released today indicate that an idea was pitched for Drew McIntyre to drop the WWE Championship in the near future. It was recently reported by Wrestletalk that Randy Orton will be likely facing off against Drew McIntyre at SummerSlam next month, and this may be the match where it happens.
New reports suggest that the idea calls for Randy Orton to defeat Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam. Wrestlingnews.co reported that they were told the tentative plan could be for Orton to defend the championship against Edge at Royal Rumble and then eventually Orton would defend again against Drew McIntyre, possibly at WrestleMania. This would allow McIntyre to win the title back but this time have a true crowning moment with fans in attendance.
Randy Orton would likely hold the championship at least until fans are back in the seats for WWE events.
There is reportedly zero backstage heat on Drew McIntyre, but WWE wants to give him the moment they feel he actually deserves. This moment could very well happen at WrestleMania 37, as fans are expected back in seats by then.
