During a recent conversation on “Friday Night Fights”, AEW wrestler Darby Allin divulged his readiness to embrace risks in the ring.
Allin stressed that enduring physical discomfort while wrestling is far more preferable for him than returning to the lifestyle he used to lead.
Here are some standout comments from his interview:
In terms of taking risks in the ring, Allin shared his thoughts: “Honestly, I used to be a dishwasher and I worked at the 99-cent store. And look, I will tell you this – I’d rather be kicked in the face with shoes covered in superglued thumbtacks than ever go back to working as a dishwasher. I do not take anything for granted. I’d choose physical pain over mental pain all day.”
When asked about his most cherished moments in Dynamite, Allin said, “It’s been an incredible journey. It’s tough to pick one moment, but the fact that I’ve been with the company from the get-go, it’s really amazing to witness the first episode of Dynamite and now we’re already at the 250th episode. It’s a remarkable journey, and the best part is I get to do it on my own terms, and all the ideas that you see brought to life out there are mine, and they just say, ‘Go for it, Darby. Do what you want.’ It’s extremely cool that we have this platform.”
