In a recent conversation on Busted Open Radio, presided by Dave LaGreca, Tony Khan, the current President of All Elite Wrestling (AEW), shared insights about the prospective future of AEW. Tony also addressed the circulating gossip about a potential TV contract with Warner Bros. Discovery along with more updates.
Here are some excerpts from the conversation:
Speaking on the future trajectory of AEW, Khan commented, “I realized today that I forget to bring my sunglasses to the Sirius studio. But, the future of AEW is so promising and radiant that I need them. I want to reassure you that I have not been spreading these reports. While the Puck folks are impressive and doing a commendable job, I haven’t provided them with any information. Nevertheless, they’re covering some really interesting stuff.”
In response to the hearsay about AEW closing in on a fresh TV rights agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery, Khan stated, “Indeed, there is a flurry of reports and hearsay floating around. I want to clarify that so far, neither Warner Brothers nor I have confirmed anything officially. However, I can certainly guarantee that we have an incredibly exciting journey ahead. I can vouch that AEW, TBS, and TNT are here to establish a long-lasting footprint.”
