At the forthcoming WWE Clash at the Castle 2024 Premium Live Event, a hotly anticipated showdown is on the cards between WWE World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest and the challenger Drew McIntyre, who will not have Judgment Day backing him up at ringside.

In an interview with the Indian Times, McIntyre gave an update on his current situation within the WWE organization.

“My WrestleMania experience was less than ideal. I was straightforward in my intention. Some might mock, but I had openly declared my goal to win the championship, celebrate with my loved ones, and then confront CM Punk in person as I’ve never held him in high regard. Not many are aware of the history between us, a history that has adversely affected me on a personal as well as professional level. Punk isn’t a person of admirable character. Anyone who invests five minutes to dig up his past online will concur with my opinion; his attitude hasn’t changed a bit. I stand by my claims. I was willing to face him man to man, but he resorted to a cowardly attack from behind, causing me a fractured elbow. And, taking an unfair advantage of my vulnerable state, he assaulted me brutally with a metal brace. Then Damian Priest swooped down like a scavenging vulture to benefit from my misfortune and snatched away the World Title. Although I was champion for only five minutes and 46 seconds, that period has generated more controversy and interest among fans than Priest’s entire reign as champion. I’m the reason Punk remains relevant, and he owes his current fame to me. As for acting like a true champion and playing a pivotal role in enhancing the overall quality of the show, I deserve the credit without wearing the crown. I’m the uncrowned champion. But that will change soon,” articulated McIntyre.
