Due to precarious weather circumstances resulting from Hurricane Helene, TNA Wrestling was compelled to cancel its proposed TV tapings in Spartanburg, SC.
As reported by Fightful Select, the organization went to great lengths to carry out the tapings, which were considered vital for the lead-up to the eagerly anticipated TNA Bound For Glory 2024 event.
Initially planned for Friday, the tapings were switched to Monday and Tuesday at one point. TNA was committed to making sure the tapings lived up to the hype, even bringing The Hardys into Spartanburg in advance to make media appearances.
Many TNA staff members who had already arrived in the city encountered a power shortage at their accommodations. Due to a lack of available hotel rooms, several staff members clicked into survival mode and ended up charging their gadgets using their cars. The combined challenges of the power outage and the looming threat of the hurricane led to the necessary call-off of the tapings.
TNA is currently weighing up options on how to navigate its show schedule leading to Bound For Glory 2024. An option on the table is to shift the tapings to Skyway Studios in Nashville next week, a place familiar to the crew as it was their filming location during the pandemic and also home to Slammiversary 2021.
Expect this Thursday’s episode to be a compilation of “best of” clips as TNA gears up for Bound For Glory 2024.
