During a recent guest appearance on “Talk Is Jericho” podcast, WWE Hall of Fame inductee Scott Steiner took a trip down memory lane, sharing his experiences from his stint with The Steiner Bros in WWE during the 90s. Steiner revealed that they were actually trying to get themselves fired due to the frustrating circumstances, and it even led them to start food fights in various venues.
Here are some standout stories from the podcast:
Regarding him and his brother’s attempt to get themselves fired from WWE, Steiner said, “We weren’t receiving our paychecks…that’s when we began getting frustrated, and we started making efforts to get axed. The first instance was during an international tour in Italy, and my brother proposed a plan in the cafeteria: food fight!”
In discussing another food fight they triggered, Steiner recounted, “We replayed the scene the following night at the building, where there was already loads of food around. It led to a second round of the food fight. I don’t think the WWE caught on initially, but they definitely did after I sought a meeting with Vince [McMahon] – considering it was a sensitive request, especially after the incident where Nailz had choked him out.”
