During a recent appearance on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast, Rhea Ripley discussed how joining The Judgment Day has helped her promos.

Ripley is slated to defend her Women’s World Title against Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 40. She said,

“Joining the Judgment Day helped a lot. When I first entered with Edge and Damian. What better person to fall back on than Edge? Also, Damian, he was better than me. He was still learning, but he was better than me. I felt comfortable even though most of the time I didn’t know I didn’t know what the hell I was saying because we used a lot bigger words when Edge was in the faction. ‘I don’t know what that means, but I’m going to try and say it.’ I feel like if I did forget where I was going or got lost on the way, I could fall back on them and they would have my back and they remembered my part of the promo too, so they could say what I was going to say,” she recalled. “Obviously, we grew and Edge, we kicked him out, Finn joined, Dom and JD came along. Every time I get to go out there with them, it’s just joking and talking with friends. They were always there and we would look at each other. It was a rare time that I would look at the crowd. I would look at them and the main camera, and that’s all I would look at so it felt like I was joking around and talking with them. It makes you feel more comfortable and confident. You slowly get better at it because you get reps, and the next thing you know you’re out there by yourself and cutting an amazing promo.”

Rhea Ripley Discusses How Joining The Judgment Day Has Helped Her Promos

Rhea Ripley, the reigning Women’s World Champion in WWE, recently appeared on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast to discuss her journey and experiences in the wrestling industry. One of the key topics she touched upon was how joining The Judgment Day faction has significantly improved her promo skills.

Ripley is set to defend her Women’s World Title against Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 40, one of the biggest events in professional wrestling. Reflecting on her growth as a performer, Ripley credited her association with The Judgment Day for enhancing her confidence and ability to deliver compelling promos.

“When I first entered with Edge and Damian, it helped a lot,” Ripley shared during the podcast. “What better person to fall back on than Edge? Also, Damian, he was better than me. He was still learning, but he was better than me. I felt comfortable even though most of the time I didn’t know what the hell I was saying because we used a lot bigger words when Edge was in the faction. ‘I don’t know what that means, but I’m going to try and say it.'”

Ripley’s honesty about her initial struggles with delivering promos highlights the challenges wrestlers face in effectively communicating their characters and storylines to the audience. However, being surrounded by experienced performers like Edge and Damian provided her with a safety net and boosted her confidence.

The supportive environment within The Judgment Day allowed Ripley to rely on her fellow faction members if she ever forgot her lines or got lost during a promo. “I could fall back on them, and they would have my back and they remembered my part of the promo too, so they could say what I was going to say,” she recalled.

As time went on, The Judgment Day underwent changes with Edge eventually being kicked out and Finn joining the faction. Ripley also mentioned the addition of Dom and JD, which further strengthened the camaraderie within the group. Ripley emphasized the importance of feeling comfortable and relaxed when performing with her faction members, as it made her feel like she was joking around and talking with friends.

The supportive atmosphere and constant interaction with her fellow faction members allowed Ripley to gradually improve her promo skills. “It makes you feel more comfortable and confident. You slowly get better at it because you get reps, and the next thing you know you’re out there by yourself and cutting an amazing promo,” she explained.

Ripley’s journey from initially struggling with promos to becoming a confident and skilled performer is a testament to the positive impact of a supportive faction like The Judgment Day. It highlights the importance of having a strong support system in the wrestling industry, where performers can learn from and lean on each other to grow and excel in their craft.

As Rhea Ripley prepares for her highly anticipated match against Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 40, fans can expect her promos to be even more captivating and engaging, thanks to the valuable experiences she gained from being a part of The Judgment Day faction.
