Following his victory in the 8-4-1 match at the Against All Odds 2023 pay-per-view event, Nick Aldis has earned an opportunity to challenge for the Impact World Championship at Slammiversary. The win came during the Impact! Plus event on Friday night, where Aldis teamed up with Bully Ray, Jonathan Gresham, and Heath to face Mike Bailey, Moose, PCO, and Rich Swann.

The first team emerged victorious in the initial bout, setting the stage for a four-way match among the winning team members. Aldis ultimately sealed the win by forcing Heath to submit to a Texas Cloverleaf hold.

Aldis now awaits the outcome of a match between Steve Maclin and Alex Shelley. The winner of that contest will be Aldis’ opponent for the Impact World Title at Slammiversary, scheduled to take place on July 15.

Plus, as announced on Friday night, New Japan’s legendary Hiroshi Tanahashi is set to be present at IMPACT x NJPW Multiverse United 2: For Whom The Bell Tolls on Sunday, August 20 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
