Highs & Lows Of WWE Elimination Chamber 2025? | Question Of The Day

Hello and welcome to another instalment of eWrestlingNews’ Question of the Day!

The WWE Elimination Chamber premium live event rolled by last evening, and it’s time for our usual segment on Highs and Lows. We seek to know what moments you thoroughly enjoyed or absolutely detested.

The focus today is, “What moments at the WWE Elimination Chamber 2025 did you find most enthralling or utterly disappointing?”

Don’t forget to share your thoughts in the comments section below.

In terms of my personal perspective…

Penning this piece is an easy task, as I believe we all agree that John Cena’s heel turn was the pinnacle of the event. This momentous occasion will no doubt be cemented in wrestling history. Still, it’s only the beginning, and we cannot predict the resultant mayhem and how much we will relish Cena’s heel run.

Frankly, I was skepticism about concluding the show with the promo and was concerned it might fall flat. However, this unexpected twist, Johns’ heel turn, elevated my experience significantly. I believe this development will rekindle the somewhat dull rivalry between Cody Rhodes and John Cena, which previously seemed like an unexciting face-off between two good guys.

While Jade Cargill’s and Randy Orton’s returns were noteworthy, they pale against Cena’s heel turn, especially considering it looks like Cargill vs. Naomi will be on the WrestleMania card even though it may not be a deserving inclusion.

On the downside, one might argue that the tag team match was the night’s low point due to its relative unimportance. However, I beg to differ. The possible lead-up to Damian Priest vs. Drew McIntyre fight dampened my spirits.

I anticipated this situation and was not keen on it. The entire idea of Priest defeating McIntyre to instigate their feud is quite drab. They had already crossed paths at last year’s WrestleMania without a substantial narrative to back their rivalry. The current situation feels like a plan B when the WWE ran out of a substantial storyline for both competitors. Although it seems like a good match in theory, it requires more than merely clubbing their names together on a card with an excuse that they are popular acts who shouldn’t be overlooked.

Likewise, I fear that WWE may not have a concrete plan for Sami Zayn at WrestleMania. However, the fate of Priest and McIntyre appears sealed for a meaningless resurrection of their old feud on the undercard, a position both deserve to rise above.
