Heath says he’s banged up but he’s doing OK.
The free agent’s storyline saw him entering the Call Your Shot Gauntlet match for a shot at a contract, but he appeared to suffer a legitimate injury after connecting with a high kick to Adam Thornstowe of Reno Scum. While it’s clear that Heath was hurt during IMPACT Wrestling’s Bound For Glory pay-per-view but details have been sparse regarding the severity of the injury and how long he will be out.
Heath initially posted a message on Twitter on Saturday, confirming he was banged up after the match but did not share any other details. Last night, Heath appeared on the ShopIMPACT.com Pop-Up Store broadcast for a virtual signing and spoke for the first time about how he’s doing, noting that he’s hurting but he’s “good to go.”
“Can I? Yeah, well, I guess if it’s out there. I’m hurting a little bit, but I’m feeling good. But yeah, no, I’m good. Don’t worry about me. I’m going to keep swinging along and we’re good to go.”
According to a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Heath was scheduled to win the match by last defeating Sami Callihan but the injury changed the finish of the match. While it was originally believed to be a knee injury, both Johnson and F4WOnline.com are reporting he had a hernia during the match.
