At the 2024 Pay-Per-View event, Money in the Bank, the WWE witnessed the highly-anticipated return of John Cena. To the surprise of many, Cena used his return to announce his impending retirement from wrestling.
The introduction of Cena was carried out by Trish Stratus. Cena, in his speech, fervently explained why he had chosen to make his appearance in Toronto that night.
In praising the WWE roster, Cena acknowledged that it is incredibly robust these days. He also mentioned the significance of the upcoming Netflix deal for WWE.
Cena revealed his plans to do battle in three upcoming WWE events before finally retiring. These include the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber in 2025, and WrestleMania 41.
