Has Lana Signed A New WWE Contract?, Eric Bischoff Clarifies His Future In Pro Wrestling

This Wednesday saw the announcement of Rusev, now known as Miro in AEW, making his official comeback to WWE. The confirmation comes following sightings of him at the WWE’s corporate building in Stamford, Connecticut. Numerous inside sources are corroborating this news. His spouse, CJ Perry, previously known by her stage name Lana, was evidently absent, triggering talks about her professional pathways.

Dave Meltzer brings to light that while Miro has made his return to WWE, Lana is unlikely to accompany him. His statement goes,

“Miro signed the contract but CJ didn’t put pen to paper and wasn’t present at the signing. To my knowledge, there aren’t any talks about her returning… well, actually, when inquired, it seemed like she won’t be coming back. But then again, one can never be certain. Nevertheless, we do know that Miro signed the contract, but she didn’t.”

Recently, renowned personality, Eric Bischoff, addressed whisperings regarding his supposed retirement from wrestling, spurred by some comments he made on his “83 Weeks” podcast.

Despite his initial admission that he had accomplished all he wished to in the wrestling world and that he didn’t want to dedicate his entire focus to it, some thought this signified him bidding farewell to wrestling forever. However, in a conversation with Adam Cailler of the Daily Star, Bischoff set the record straight that he hasn’t retired and that any claims alleging the same are baseless. He said,

“The wrestling media have misconstrued my statements. A question was posed to me and I offered a response that was subsequently taken out of its initial context. The question was whether I foresee myself partaking full time in the wrestling industry? Would I ever aspire to manage a wrestling company, become its owner, or commit full time to any wrestling organization? The answer to all that is a resounding no. That chapter of my life is behind me, as I prefer to put it.”

“This doesn’t imply, however, that I won’t make occasional appearances. Over the past five years, I’ve engaged in such activities – whenever there’s an opening to do what I term as a one-off appearance or something akin to that, I’m on board. A full time commitment is out of the question. Somehow, this led to news headlines implying that I’ve retired from wrestling permanently. Well, that could have been said eight years back. I guess that’s just the wrestling media for you.”
