During Happy Corbin’s interview on WWE’s The Bump, Corbin was asked if breaking a mirror at WWE Headquarters in Stamford during the 2020 Money in the Bank ladder match could be to blame for his bad luck over the past year. In response, the former King of the Ring explained that there could be some truth to this notion.
“You know it very well could have been that,” Happy Corbin said. “And the amazing thing is that what’s the saying if you break a mirror, it’s seven years of bad luck? So I got a year, a year and a half of a rough ride. Most people would get seven. Kayla [Braxton] would probably get 15. But you know I had a year and a half, and I fought through in Vegas it all turned around. I mean, it was unbelievable when you’re just on you’re on, I was wearing that horrible smelly shirt, but I was just getting handed chips after chips after chips at the blackjack table, at the craps table. I was betting on roulette, where I was picking one number, just one, most people are like, give me two on 12 me one on 13, 17, 14, 21 I was like hey, put all this on 13. Guess what happened? Boom!”

“I’m open to it,” Corbin said. “I mean this guy [Dexter Lumis], one of my favorites, absolute favorite. He’s a gem, and I would love to cook for their wedding party whatever they want. So I’d make him some duck with like a beautiful sweet potato puree that’s just phenomenal. I can make him steaks; I can make him brisket. You want eggs benedict? I got you covered. You want airplane chicken. I got you covered, whatever you want. I made some amazing curry the other night; it was really spicy but really good. I got you a pineapple in it, chicken in it.
“I got you covered, bud. Ole Happy’s here for you.”
