Hana Kimura’s Mother: Mercedes Moné Reminds Me Of Late Daughter

The mother of Hana Kimura has said that watching Mercedes Moné in the ring reminds her of her late daughter.

Hana Kimura took her own life in May 2020 at the age of 22, after receiving online abuse following her appearance on a reality show.

On Twitter, Kyoko Kimura, Hana’s mother and also a professional wrestler, spoke about how much Moné reminds her of her daughter.

At NJPW Battle In The Valley, Moné wore an attire reminiscent of Hana Kimura, complete with the late wrestler’s signature gas mask.

Last June, Japan passed new laws about cyberbullying stemming from the death of Hana in 2020.
