WWE legend and Hall of Famer Bully Ray recently shared his candid thoughts, stating that WWE’s first ever Saturday Night’s Main Event since 2008 closely resembled an infomercial. This show, which took place on December 14th, carried out five matches and proclaimed the first-ever WWE Women’s United States Champion.

Bully Ray expressed his viewpoint on the much-discussed NBC event during a recent episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast. He opined, “I thought it was a giant infomercial. As I watched Saturday Night’s Main Event… 54 percent of the show was packages, promos, ads, and all that stuff.”

He continued, “I felt it was like an infomercial … ‘Here’s who we are, this is what we do, this is the product that we offer.’” Nevertheless, Ray acknowledged that WWE managed to offer fans “enough” and rated Saturday Night’s Main Event as a “good, friendly show.”

Informing of the future plans, the WWE will conduct four events each year on NBC. On these occasions, Jesse ‘The Body’ Ventura will be taking over the role of acting as a commentator. The 38th Saturday Night’s Main Event is on the cards for January 25, 2025, scheduled to be held at the Frost Bank Center located in San Antonio, Texas.
