Wrestler GUNTHER has openly expressed his disbelief in Joe Hendry’s rise to fame. Despite the marked increase in Hendry’s fanbase since his introduction on WWE NXT TV as a joint venture with TNA Wrestling, GUNTHER refuses to buy into the hype surrounding the TNA wrestler.
On the recent WWE Bash In Berlin 2024 pay-per-view occasion, GUNTHER secured his victory against Randy Orton, successfully defending his WWE World Heavyweight Title in the show’s headline event.
In a post-bout interview with “Gorilla Position,” the topic of Hendry came up. GUNTHER, dubbed as the Ring General, clearly stated with no hesitation, “Uh no, I don’t think so. No.”
Hendry is set to challenge Ethan Page for the NXT Title in NXT: No Mercy 2024 happening later tonight.
In an official announcement on social media site Twitter, the account of Gorilla Position posted confirming GUNTHER’s sentiments about Hendry. The tweet read: “It’s a great shame but it’s official… WWE World Champion @Gunther_AUT does NOT believe in @joehendry. #NXTNoMercy”.
