GUNTHER – ‘I Will Show Cody Rhodes Is The Secondary Champion’

The reigning World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER is all set and ready to prove his dominance over WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, in his quest to be acknowledged as the unrivalled champion in WWE.

Later today, an epic battle between them at WWE Crown Jewel is scheduled to take place, where the victor will be lauded as the inaugural WWE Crown Jewel Champion. The title was first declared during WWE Bad Blood 2024.

While discussing in an interview session on WWE La Previa, GUNTHER was questioned about what distinguishes him from a champion like Cody Rhodes. He responded,

“I think I’m a little bit more honest because I can say I do this for myself. My success is the most important thing to me. Cody is someone, he always does this for somebody else, and he finishes the story for his dad, and he does this, and it’s for somebody else. He just really forces the attention to him, and I think that makes me a more confident champion than him because I don’t need that, I don’t need that backup. I’m not interested in it, and I think that’s a big difference. I think it’s a little bit two worlds colliding.”

GUNTHER further talked about their upcoming competition, where he intends to verify that the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion is second to none but him. He stated,

“I just have to do what I always do, be the best in that ring, dominate that match, set the pace, and [I] will make clear that Cody truly is the secondary champion to me. I’m already setting the standard on Monday Night Raw, and I’m gonna prove that I’m the one that sets the standard in all of WWE. That’s what I’m focused on now, making Cody understand, show him that he’s secondary to me.”

The victor of this contest will also receive a championship ring. Stay connected with eWrestlingNews.com for the latest happenings from WWE Crown Jewel 2024.
