Wrestler GUNTHER shared his thoughts on not being the main highlight of WrestleMania 41, indicating that he is unaffected by it.
In a recent chat on “The Ariel Helwani Show,” GUNTHER was questioned about possibly feeling let down that his World Heavyweight Championship clash against Jey Uso wouldn’t be the event’s main attraction. He responded,
“I’m not bothered at all. There are two main spots at the event, some people believe only one and that’s the second night. They’re big achievements indeed, but they’re not something I’m stressed about. In the future, once I retire and am in a financially secure position to provide for my family, I’ll look back and be proud of what I accomplished – doing the thing I love. So, if I never top the event at WrestleMania, it doesn’t really change how content or proud I’ll be regarding my career.”
Adding more, he said, “It’s more of a mental challenge for us wrestlers. We naturally aim to achieve more and more, but it’s also essential to put things into perspective and remain grounded. If you’re always striving to climb higher, it becomes a never-ending pursuit. Where does it end? Instead, it’s better to concentrate on the present task and put in maximum effort to make it the best. In doing so, great things happen. It’s beyond my control anyway. Irrespective of where I am on the card, I’ll give it my all.”
On another note, Tommy Dreamer appeared on the “Busted Open After Dark” podcast and made remarks on Seth Rollins pending on a favor from Paul Heyman, as mentioned by Rollins on RAW. He pondered,
“I’m keen to find out what this favor is going to be? We’ve heard many speculating that Paul might side with CM Punk. There were also talks of Paul teaming up with Punk only to betray him in favor of Roman. Now, it’s also suggested that there might be a partnership between Paul and Seth Rollins. But honestly, neither Roman, CM Punk, nor Seth Rollins needs Paul Heyman. However, Paul has been instrumental in elevating every act he’s ever associated with.”
He went on to say, “Is Paul’s move going to cause upset all round and have him siding with Seth? It’s unclear. I really can’t predict how this will unfold, and that’s precisely why I love pro wrestling.”
