WWE Tag Team Champion Grayson Waller believes The Rock is correct in his belief that wrestling is cool again, thanks in part to The Final Boss.

The Rock made his boastful comment that he was responsible for wrestling being cool again during the run-up to his role at WWE WrestleMania 40.

On a recent edition of the “Going Ringside” podcast, Waller was asked for his response to The Rock’s comment. He said,

“He ain’t wrong, he’s not wrong. The last four, five months? Anyone who’s been in an arena knows that wrestling is cool again. The vibe is different. WrestleMania was fantastic because WrestleMania wasn’t just wrestling.”

Waller added that while legends of the past like The Rock and John Cena have attracted fans, it’s the full-time roster that keeps them around. He said,

“They stay for A-Town Down Under. They stay for Jey Uso. They stay for Sami Zayn. They stay for all these other guys. This isn’t just a main event show, from top to bottom, from start to finish. Right now, WWE is the best it’s ever been, in my opinion.”

Waller and Austin Theory captured the SmackDown Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 40. These titles were rechristened the WWE Tag Team Championships on last week’s episode of SmackDown.
