During a recent episode of the “WrestleTalk” podcast, AEW American Champion MJF gave high praise to WWE’s Triple H, referring to him as “the greatest ever.” MJF reminisced about his experiences of watching wrestling as a young fan, particularly noting his appreciation and admiration for Triple H.
Born in ’96, MJF vividly recalled when Triple H made a triumphant return after injury at the Madison Square Garden. He pointed out that how deeply it impacted him, stating, “Oh, my god. The greatest ever! When I was a kid … that was my arena as a kid, and I thought, ‘All right. I’m returning from a serious injury.’ Every other huge wrestling fan in wrestling does cosplay gear, I decided I’ll do it once, and only once.”
Adding his own unique touch, MJF said, “I put my own spin on it. I incorporated Burberry patterns, added my initials, my lion into it. But, yeah, it was definitely a nod to my childhood.”
Looking forward to the upcoming challenges, MJF is set to defend his AEW American Championship against Will Ospreay at the AEW All In: London 2024 event this weekend.
