On a recent edition of “The Ariel Helwani Show,” wrestling icon Bill Goldberg spoke candidly about his ideal matchups with current WWE Superstars.
Goldberg is presently committing his time to training in preparation for his retirement match, lined up to take place later this year.
Addressing a potential confrontation with John Cena, Goldberg stated, “I never got a chance to wrap my hand around Cena’s neck. That would have been interesting. There were a lot of people I would have liked to go up against in my prime, but we also have to consider what that contributes to the industry now. Many of the current wrestling fans might not even recall my time in the ring. There seems to be a general lack of knowledge about my career – as seems to be the case, judging by the criticism I’ve been receiving. I view myself as somewhat of a trailblazer.”
When prompted about the possibility of a rematch with Roman Reigns, Goldberg responded, “There’s a multitude of options open, and a rematch with Roman would certainly be something that I’d welcome.”
