Notorious wrestler Bill Goldberg has openly expressed his aspirations for a parting match in WWE.
This WWE Hall of Fame inductee shared with the world that he had approached Vince McMahon with a proposition for a curtain call match when he agreed to lose to Roman Reigns in the 2022 Elimination Chamber series.
Discussing the matter further in a recent episode of the “Insight” podcast, Goldberg delves into why he felt WWE owed him this privilege.
The following excerpts from the interview give a clearer insight:
Goldberg’s thoughts on clashing with Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber 2022: “The management found itself in a tight spot and I turned out to be their solution. I believe I did them a solid, so I felt the least they could do was return the favor. But it is what it is now.”
Goldberg’s feelings about the fading prospect of his retirement match: “Had the match been a possibility, it would’ve happened by now. I understand things can’t always go the way we want. If my heart really longed for that match, I could make it happen myself. I could go to India, Israel, or Japan for that matter. I could even organize it here in the [United] States.”
