In a recent episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Bill Goldberg took listeners on a journey through his emotions when he became a WWE Hall of Fame inductee. The wrestling icon reflected on the spectrum of feelings he grappled with during the prestigious event, underscoring the sense of duty linked to such an occasion.
Goldberg confessed that he did not savor the experience to its fullest extent because he did not fully immerse himself in the moment. He stated, “There’s so much of a responsibility on a night like that. I didn’t have as much fun as I should’ve had, because I never really live in the moment.”
The wrestling star voiced gratitude and zeal towards the honor but admitted that the induction was both “overwhelming” and “underserved”. Unlike his fellow inductees, many of whom devoted their lives to wrestling, Goldberg candidly revealed his sense of regret because he didn’t pursue wrestling throughout his entire life.
He commented, “For so many people who have dedicated their lives to the craft, I always will forever feel guilty that I get any accolade.”
Goldberg joined the prestigious WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2018. The ceremony, which was a milestone in his career, brought about a rich mixture of emotions and a dizzying wave of sensations that Goldberg so eloquently described in the podcast.
