The former World Heavyweight Champion from WCW, Goldberg, has recently shared that WWE’s RAW Superstar, Bron Breakker, is being groomed to follow in his path.
Breakker, similar to Goldberg during his WCW tenure, has received a significant push since he joined WWE in 2021. His successful stint has led him to secure the titles of NXT and NXT Tag Team Champion.
In a recent episode of the “Insight” podcast, Goldberg gave insight into his mentorship of the second-generation Superstar. He shared,
“Love him. He had my tattoo, I think at some point he had to cover it up and alter it. They tried to shape him in my image to a certain extent at the training facility. We had several discussions about it. We share a close bond.
“This kid is an absolute powerhouse. He might not be getting any taller, but he’s a force to be reckoned with. His mantra could be force equals mass times acceleration. His unique selling point is his explosive energy, which sets him apart. He shines in an area where others don’t. He stands out because he’s different, takes it seriously, and is extremely physical. Plus, he’s got a good head on his shoulders.”
Like Goldberg, Breakker also began his sports career with football before venturing into professional wrestling, using the spear, a classic Goldberg move, to great effect.
Breakker is set to take on the reigning Intercontinental Champion, Sami Zayn, in the upcoming WWE SummerSlam 2024, which will be held in Cleveland, Ohio.
