Wrestling icon and inductee of WWE Hall of Fame, Bill Goldberg, is all prepped for his swan song performance inside the ring in 2025. The suspense looms as he is likely to clash with the reigning World Heavyweight Champion, GUNTHER.
During a chit chat with SEC Nation on a morning show on Saturday, Goldberg let the cat out of the bag, unveiling his plans of taking a bow from the ring next year. Labeling GUNTHER as the possible “front runner,” Goldberg—who’s known for his dominating performances—referred to him as his eventual final “victim”.
In the past, Goldberg and GUNTHER have had heated exchanges, with an unforgettable standoff at WWE Bad Blood in 2024 where GUNTHER made fun of the WWE Hall of Famer.
Goldberg, a legend of both WWE and WCW, has maintained distance from the ring since his defeat at the hands of then-Universal Champion Roman Reigns at the Elimination Chamber 2022.
Recently, in a warning accent, Goldberg told GUNTHER to refrain from badmouthing him. Meanwhile, GUNTHER is set to go head-to-head with Cody Rhodes for the coveted Crown Jewel Title at the ongoing WWE Crown Jewel 2024 pay-per-view event.
WWE made the alarming retweet on their official handle, confirming Goldberg’s decision for his retirement bout scheduled for next year.
