We bring to you another eWrestlingNews Discussion Point of the Day!
The participants for this year’s Women’s WarGames match have been announced. The WWE Survivor Series 2024 match will feature Rhea Ripley, Iyo Sky, Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill and Naomi against Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Tiffany Stratton, and Candice LeRae.
As per usual, this match seems to be booked purely for the joy of the battle. There are no specific terms associated with it and no explicit rationale behind this feud beyond the simple desire to defeat someone on the rival team. When examined logically, it’s hard to understand why, for instance, Naomi should have any issues with Raquel Rodriguez, or why Rhea Ripley would be gunning for Candice LeRae.
Leaving aside these contradictions, let’s pretend you suddenly find yourself on the WWE Creative team and you’re entrusted with the task of adding some sort of significance—a reason why these two groups would unite and battle for victory beyond a commonplace rivalry feud.
So my question to you today is “What significance would you add to this year’s Women’s WarGames match and why?”

As for my viewpoint…
From my perspective, the most confusing part of this equation is why Liv Morgan and Nia Jax would choose to align with each other immediately after their recent feud. They just clashed at Crown Jewel.
What I would recommend is that Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis agree on a condition that would benefit both of them. As champions, should they triumph, they can consider this a title defense and enjoy a 30-day break over the holiday season. Essentially, Morgan and Jax would have a safe reign as champions until January. This could play well with their cowardice as heels, as they would love to avoid another title defense, and they could enter 2025 as strong champions, making it easier to maintain their belts till WrestleMania.
This proposition would be enough to set aside their differences. Their followers (Raquel, Stratton and LeRae) would naturally adhere to their command.
On the flip side, if the team of fan-favorites wins, they’ll rise to the top of the contenders list. Basically, Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky would be next in line to challenge Morgan in December, while Belair, Cargill, and Naomi would get a shot at Jax soon. Who wrestles who? Well, that depends. If you pin for your team, you get the match. That, and/or the losing side are put in title matches regardless. For example, if Sky pins, she gets her match with Morgan soon. If Ripley pins, and since Sky is already the No. 1 contender, then it becomes a Triple Threat in December. Maybe SmackDown features a Fatal 4-Way with Belair, Cargill, Naomi and Jax. In this way, Jax could even lose her title to a Stratton cash-in where Tiffany doesn’t even have to pin Jax to win – she can pin Naomi, leaving everyone feeling cheated. Similarly, Ripley could defeat Morgan for the Women’s World Championship and regain her footing.
