On eWn, as we have previously noted, Britt Baker has recently faced a suspension and monetary penalty from the disciplinary committee of AEW, due to an off-camera incident involving MJF and his partner, Alicia Atout. This episode took place during the July 17th Dynamite broadcast.
The genuine suspension of Baker now sheds light on her absence from last week’s Dynamite episode.
The allegations state that Baker employed inappropriate language directed towards Atout. This led to a standoff between Baker herself and MJF. After conducting a thorough internal inquiry, AEW decided against suspending MJF, citing that their HR department viewed his behavior as a defense of Atout, thereby found it inappropriate to impose disciplinary measures.
Sources at Pwinsider speculate that Baker is likely to make a comeback tonight on the AEW’s Dynamite episode. Despite this, an official confirmation from AEW regarding her appearance in the show is still awaited.
Adding a silver lining to Baker’s recent ups and downs, she has bagged a role in the popular Netflix show “Cobra Kai.” She will be showcasing her acting skills as a “European fighter competing as part of a team in an international karate tournament.”
Looking ahead in her wrestling career, Baker is set to compete against Mercedes Mone for the AEW TBS Championship. This match will be a part of AEW All In: London 2024. Scheduled on Sunday, August 25, the event will be held at the iconic Wembley Stadium in London, England.
