PPV EVENT INFORMATION
Date: Sunday, February 4, 2024
Start Time: 7 p.m. ET (kickoff), 8 p.m. ET (main show)
Location: F&M Bank Arena in Clarksville, Tennessee
MATCH CARD, PREDICTIONS & HEAT INDEX ANTICIPATION LEVELS
(as currently advertised; card is always subject to change)
Temperature Scale = Scorching > Hot > Lukewarm > Temperate > Chilly > Cold > Freezing
Heat Index is my assessment of how interesting the segment is, including how excited I am for the match and how intriguing the feud has been. The hotter, the better. Scorching translates to not being able to wait to see it, while Freezing means I couldn’t possibly care less and think it will be awful.
DUSTY RHODES TAG TEAM CLASSIC TOURNAMENT FINALS:
The Wolf Dogs (Baron Corbin and Bron Breakker) vs. Trick Melo Gang (Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams)
Heat Index = Hot
Prediction: The Wolf Dogs win.
Thoughts: Here’s how I see it. The Wolf Dogs not only have to win this in order for there to be tension between Melo and Trick, where Melo thinks Trick hasn’t been focused on this and is too distracted with his mind on the title match, but also, because I think The Wolf Dogs is just working so well right now. I’m loving it. Depending on whether or not Bron Breakker is going to be called up to the main roster soon, or soon after WrestleMania, might dictate whether or not they actually win the titles. But since WWE likes crossover talent appearing on both NXT and the main roster, they might still want Breakker on Raw or SmackDown while holding the NXT tag titles. I’m assuming that match happens at Stand & Deliver, or The Wolf Dogs win those tag belts heading into that event and defend against a bigger team than The D’Angelo Family. Either way, Corbin and Breakker come out on top here, and I think the match will be really good.
SINGLES MATCH FOR THE NXT CHAMPIONSHIP:
Ilja Dragunov (c) vs. Trick Williams
Heat Index = Hot
Prediction: Ilja Dragunov wins.
Thoughts: After failing to win the Dusty Cup at the beginning of the night, Melo stews. By the time the main event comes around, he eventually comes out, does something to cost Trick, and Dragunov retains. Melo says Trick wasn’t focused on the Dusty Cup and was being selfish, and he’s only ever had his back, blah blah, and reveals that he was the one who attacked Williams either on the next episode of NXT or the one after that. The course of the remainder of February and March either sets up Trick against Melo in a grudge match while Dragunov gets a new opponent for the title, or we get a Triple Threat with Trick, Melo and Dragunov for the title. If that’s the case, Trick wins. There’s a chance Trick wins here and we get him defending against Carmelo, but I lean more toward him winning the belt on WrestleMania Weekend.
SINGLES MATCH FOR THE NXT WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP:
Lyra Valkyria (c) vs. Roxanne Perez
Heat Index = Temperate
Prediction: Roxanne Perez wins.
Thoughts: Not to hate on the girl, but Lyra Valkyria is the weakest NXT women’s champion yet. I cannot see her walking into Stand & Deliver with the title and having her go up against anyone that realistically seems like it is a big deal. Sorry. Granted, I don’t think Roxanne has any solo opponents on the NXT roster that would be gangbusters, either. What’s weird is that Lyra has these two feuds with Lola Vice and Tatum Paxley waiting in the wings. But Vice might be just “for the title” in general, and not necessarily a feud against Valkyria. And there might be a chance where Tatum tries to help out here, Roxanne takes advantage in her path toward a heel turn, wins the title, and we get Lyra against Tatum as just a regular non-title feud over the course of February/March. Meanwhile, Roxanne can get a rematch with Lyra or busy herself in other ways, and then, get a more important opponent at Stand & Deliver. Maybe a returning AJ Lee? Natalya coming down from Raw? While part of me just thinks Valkyria will retain here, I’m going with a bit of a risk and I’ll say that Perez takes the belt. As far as hype, I’m only curious about the outcome. The match itself doesn’t do much for me.
SINGLES MATCH FOR THE NXT NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIP:
Oba Femi (c) vs. Dragon Lee
Heat Index = Lukewarm
Prediction: Oba Femi wins.
Thoughts: Dragon Lee has a lot of potential. He’s fun to watch. Maybe the next Rey Mysterio. Definitely not the next North American champion, though! There’s no way he beats Oba Femi here. Not a chance. Femi is way too large and was given this massive push. WWE isn’t going to just throw that all away and revert back to a previous status quo with Lee.
SIX-PERSON MIXED TAG TEAM MATCH:
The D’Angelo Family (Tony D’Angelo, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo and Adriana Rizzo) vs. OTM (Bronco Nima, Lucien Price and Jaida Parker, with SCRYPTS)
Heat Index = Cold
Prediction: The D’Angelo Family wins.
Thoughts: This feud is just not it. I know what they’re trying to do, and I commend them for attempting to put a spotlight on Jaida Parker and Adriana Rizzo. But WOW do I not care. OTM already lost a tag title attempt. Even if they were to win this, I wouldn’t care to see a rematch. That might happen just to kill time over February while setting up the Dusty Cup winners for Stand & Deliver. But I’m hoping The D’Angelo Family just puts this rivalry to bed.
NO DISQUALIFICATION MATCH:
Dijak vs. Joe Gacy
Heat Index = Lukewarm
Prediction: Joe Gacy wins.
Thoughts: I’ll admit, as stupid as it is, this new Joe Gacy character is starting to work for me. After all the criticism I gave him for the Schism gimmick, I’m kind of digging this sillier thing. This No DQ match revolves around him winning. As much as I like Dijak, this is not his match. He already had his moment to look strong by tossing Gacy into the dumpster. Here, they’ll brawl, and Gacy will do something to nab the victory.
OVERALL PPV:
How excited am I for the event as a whole?
Heat Index = Lukewarm
Thoughts: The lineup isn’t the most impressive by any means. It’ll be an important show, though. At least, it has the potential to be. But that’s mostly from one big story with Trick Melo Gang over two matches. If Roxanne wins the title, that’ll be important, too. The other half is just filler, though, that could have applied to a TV episode.

WWE NXT Vengeance Day 2024 is just around the corner, and fans are eagerly anticipating the upcoming pay-per-view event. With an exciting card lined up, there’s a lot to look forward to. Let’s take a closer look at what we can expect from this event.
The event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at the F&M Bank Arena in Clarksville, Tennessee. The kickoff show will start at 7 p.m. ET, followed by the main show at 8 p.m. ET.
Now let’s dive into the match card and make some predictions. Please note that the card is always subject to change.
First up, we have the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament Finals between The Wolf Dogs (Baron Corbin and Bron Breakker) and Trick Melo Gang (Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams). This match has a heat index of “Hot,” indicating high anticipation. The prediction is that The Wolf Dogs will come out on top. The match is expected to be intense and entertaining.
Next, we have a singles match for the NXT Championship between Ilja Dragunov (c) and Trick Williams. This match also has a heat index of “Hot.” The prediction is that Ilja Dragunov will retain his title. There may be some interference from Carmelo Hayes, leading to a feud between Trick and Melo.
In the singles match for the NXT Women’s Championship, Lyra Valkyria (c) will face Roxanne Perez. The heat index for this match is “Temperate,” indicating moderate interest. The prediction is that Roxanne Perez will win the title. While Lyra Valkyria has been a weak champion, Perez has the potential to bring more excitement to the division.
For the NXT North American Championship, Oba Femi (c) will defend his title against Dragon Lee. The heat index for this match is “Lukewarm,” indicating mild interest. The prediction is that Oba Femi will retain his title. Dragon Lee is a promising talent, but Femi’s push and size advantage make him the likely winner.
In a six-person mixed tag team match, The D’Angelo Family (Tony D’Angelo, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, and Adriana Rizzo) will take on OTM (Bronco Nima, Lucien Price, and Jaida Parker). Unfortunately, this match has a heat index of “Cold,” indicating low interest. The prediction is that The D’Angelo Family will win and hopefully put an end to this lackluster feud.
Lastly, we have a No Disqualification match between Dijak and Joe Gacy. The heat index for this match is “Lukewarm.” The prediction is that Joe Gacy will come out victorious. Gacy’s new character has started to gain some traction, and this match will further establish him as a force to be reckoned with.
Overall, the PPV event has a heat index of “Lukewarm.” While there are some exciting matches and potential storylines, the lineup falls short in terms of overall excitement. However, the Trick Melo Gang storyline and the possibility of Roxanne Perez winning the NXT Women’s Championship add some intrigue to the event.
