WWE Superstar, Gene Snitsky, renowned for ‘baby-punting’, made just two appearances at the WWE Royal Rumble match. However, Snitsky is now prepared to stage a sensational comeback.
In a recent episode of the “Insight” podcast, Snitsky shared his memories of his 2005 bout, including his unforgettable clothesline removal of Paul London. His words were,
“I dare say it’s the top elimination ever, not because I was involved in it but just because of the crowd’s response, the bump, considering all these factors, no other match comes up to par. I hit him hard, dude. I won’t lie. The bump was something else. The way the audience gasped, you’d think he was gone.”
Even though London’s bump seemed remarkable, he alleged that his novel move brought him backlash from backstage, with seasoned wrestlers upset that his performance might overshadow theirs.
Snitsky had his last romp at the Rumble in 2008. Nonetheless, on the podcast, he indicated he wouldn’t mind coming back for a one-off in a future 30-man face-off. In his words,
“That kind of stuff absolutely, because it puts me in the spotlight, you know it’s beneficial for business, it’s advantageous for my brand as the youth say nowadays.”
In the podcast, Snitsky delved into his wrestling career, his infamous baby punting antic, and his projected one-time comeback to WWE in 2023. For more details, follow the link.
