The 2023 Owen Hart Foundation Cup is officially underway.
On Sunday night’s AEW Double or Nothing 2023: The Buy in pre-show, an opening ceremony involving Martha Hart, Tony Khan and Renee Paquette was held.
The segment featured Martha Hart cutting a promo, announcing that this year’s tournament will kick off over AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door weekend and will conclude on July 15th in Calgary. She noted that this year’s tournament would be a little more “gangster,” which brought on AEW President Tony Khan wearing a fedora.
As of this writing, the participants have yet to be revealed for the tournament.
