During a recent Q&A session at Monopoly Events’ “For The Love of Wrestling” convention, former WWE Superstar Gangrel named which modern-day wrestlers could fit in The Brood.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On modern-day wrestlers he think would work well in The Brood today: “I would like to change the path of the Young Bucks and make them in the Brood. Just picturing, you know, young vampires … I would even go older, I like Frankie Kazarian. Christopher Daniels was supposed to be one of the original members of The Brood, too. They’re older now … but I think Young Bucks would fit in there really good.”

On how Matt Riddle would work well in The Brood: “Matt Riddle would be great in the Brood.”

In a recent interview with Jim Varsallone of the Miami Herald, WWE NXT North American Champion Oba Femi explained how he thought his offer for an NXT tryout was fake.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On his path to WWE: “The world of track and field, and the world of WWE, the only thing they have in common is being sports. That’s it. They are very different from one another. My path in WWE was kind of a fresh start for me, for my athletic career. When I put down the shot put, I put it down for good. As far as me getting involved, I was messaged by one of the NXT recruiters at the time and they asked me, ‘Would you like to come and do a tryout in Vegas?’ I said, ‘Yes, I would.’”

On thinking the tryout offer was fake: “At first I thought it was fake. I did my research and double checked and was like, ‘Oh, this is real.’ I did the tryout, I got a contract. The only problem was I had to go back and finish school. I wasn’t done with college yet. The NIL program was a platform they used to keep in touch with me for the year I was finishing school just at the back end it could still be there and show me that the contract was still waiting for me.”

Femi will defend his title against Dijak and Josh Briggs in a Triple Threat Match at WWE NXT Stand & Deliver 2024 next month.

Former WWE Superstar Gangrel recently shared his thoughts on which modern-day wrestlers he believes would fit well in The Brood, a popular stable from the late 1990s. Gangrel, whose real name is David Heath, made these comments during a Q&A session at Monopoly Events’ “For The Love of Wrestling” convention.

One of the wrestlers Gangrel mentioned as a potential fit for The Brood is the tag team known as the Young Bucks. Gangrel expressed his desire to change their path and incorporate them into The Brood, envisioning them as young vampires. He also mentioned Frankie Kazarian and Christopher Daniels, who are both older now but could still be a good fit for the stable.

Gangrel also spoke highly of Matt Riddle, stating that he would be a great addition to The Brood. Riddle, known for his laid-back persona and martial arts background, could bring a unique dynamic to the group.

In a separate interview with Jim Varsallone of the Miami Herald, WWE NXT North American Champion Oba Femi discussed his journey to WWE and how he initially thought an offer for an NXT tryout was fake. Femi, whose real name is unknown, explained that he received a message from one of the NXT recruiters inviting him to do a tryout in Las Vegas. Initially skeptical, Femi did his research and confirmed that the offer was legitimate. He eventually attended the tryout and earned himself a contract with WWE.

However, Femi had to delay signing the contract as he had not yet finished college. WWE utilized the NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) program to stay in touch with Femi during his final year of school and ensure that the contract was still waiting for him upon graduation.

Femi is set to defend his NXT North American Championship in a Triple Threat Match against Dijak and Josh Briggs at the upcoming WWE NXT Stand & Deliver 2024 event.

Both Gangrel’s comments on potential Brood members and Femi’s journey to WWE highlight the diverse paths that wrestlers take to achieve their dreams. From envisioning new roles for established wrestlers to overcoming initial skepticism, these stories demonstrate the determination and resilience required to succeed in the world of professional wrestling.
