Gail Kim says it’s hard to re-open the door to her wrestling career since she already found peace with how it ended back in 2019.

Gail Kim hosted Tuesday’s IMPACT Wrestling Press Pass Podcast with Mickie James and Deonna Purrazzo, but Gail was ultimately asked about the likelihood that her own in-ring career resumes. Gail has been asked about un-retiring quite often, including by fans and talent like Jordynne Grace, who recently said she often brings it up to the IMPACT Hall Of Famer.

Despite the positive feedback from fans and talent wanting to see her in the ring one more time, Gail says she doesn’t really see the point since she already got what she wanted from her final match.

“No,” Gail replied after being asked if there’s a chance we see her back in the ring. “Listen, I never know what to say to this, it’s just that I had a really great end to [my in-ring career]. In terms of personally, I think every wrestler — Deonna, Mickie, everyone — if you have your final match and you’re very satisfied with that match, it’s really hard to open that door again because there’s not many people that get to finish their careers where they feel at peace.

“That’s my main reason, but I just don’t see the point of it. I think there’s girls I can have really great matches with, but what’s the point? I’ve had my time, there’s so many talented women out there and this is their time to shine, this is their time to make magical moments. I’ve done that, I feel very satisfied,” she said.

Gail Kim’s last match was a loss to Tessa Blanchard at IMPACT Wrestling’s Rebellion pay-per-view in 2019. She currently works as a producer for IMPACT Wrestling, and also helped produce the NWA Empowerrr event with Mickie James.
