In a recent candid conversation with Jim Varsallone from the Miami Herald, Gail Kim shared her admiration for the TNA Knockouts division and voiced her ambition to take every facet of it to new heights. The highlights from the chat are provided below.
Speaking about the Knockouts division, she said, “Right now, we have a solid group of girls, forming the crux of our team. My goal is to bring in more talent and notch up the excitement quotient till the end of the year. I’m eager to restructure and refurbish our tag team division. Though we have had only two tag teams so far, I envision its growth. I am resolved to make our Knockouts a formidable tag team, a strong singles contender, and even narrate a compelling secondary storyline.”
Sharing her thoughts on the diversity within the division, Kim stated, “Mixing the girls is necessary too. For instance, we have Alisha Edwards, who juggles between her roles as a manager, wrestler, and tag team champion. My aim is to provide multi-faceted exposure to these girls to help them identify their own strengths and likes within the industry. Each woman brings something unique to the table and it is vital that we harness those elements, regardless of the role they are playing. It’s not just about wrestling, and I’m thrilled to witness managers finding their footing in the realm again.”
