The recent, stunning loss of Gable Steveson in the NCAA Heavyweight National Championship has been a hot topic of discussion. Falling to Wyatt Hendrickson, this defeat doused his hopes of bagging his third national title.
In a fresh discussion on “The Pat McAfee Show,” Steveson opened up about this significant disappointment.
In his words, “The sun never fails to rise the next morning. It’s a common phrase we all hear. As for what lies ahead for me, I’ve been indulging in boxing and have been wearing my gloves for jiu-jitsu sessions, all in preparation for an MMA career. Virtually as I was exiting the mat on Saturday night, there were a few calls from some new NFL teams. The opportunities continue to unveil themselves and I am just too ecstatic about giving the best of what I have.”
In May 2024, Steveson parted ways with WWE after his contract was terminated.
